The South Shore Lutheran Shared Ministry (SSLSM) is a collaborative partnership of 10 Lutheran congregations across Nova Scotia’s South Shore.

Born out of a shared desire to build a sustainable and vibrant future for ministry in our rural communities, SSLSM emerged as a hopeful and proactive response to challenges such as changing demographics, limited pastoral resources, and increasing demands on volunteers.

Together, we are reimagining how congregations can thrive, honouring beloved traditions while creating new opportunities for worship, care, and outreach.

Through shared leadership, coordinated worship schedules, and a regional pastoral team, SSLSM supports each congregation’s unique identity while strengthening our collective impact.

With guidance from the Eastern Synod, we’ve embraced a model that fosters collaboration, expands pastoral care, and encourages innovation in ministry.

Whether through Sunday worship, community programs, or pastoral visitation, we are committed to serving our communities with faith, compassion, and a renewed sense of purpose.
